Unseen Support - Mum

Final in the Interview with Theo.

Not many people know what goes into karting from the outside. They see me out on the track, but what they don’t see is my mum— under the kart, on the tools, always checking tyre pressures and chain tension before I’ve even zipped up my suit.

My mum isn’t a mechanic by trade, but she’s become one because of me. She’s the reason I race every weekend.

From long drives across Scotland she does all of it without ever asking for credit. And when I get on the podium, I see the pride in her eyes before I even hold the trophy.

“Karting in places from Larkhall to Llandow Wales isn’t just about me learning to drive — it’s about my family learning what it means to chase a dream together.

She’s not just my mechanic, she’s my motivator when I have a bad qualifying session. She’s the calm voice when I’m overthinking. And she’s the one who still cheers even if I finish tenth.

“Every driver has someone behind them. For me, it’s my mum. And honestly? I wouldn’t want anyone else in my corner.
