From Kart to Cockpit – Chasing Big Dreams Beyond the Track

My Dreams

Interview Series - Dad

Theo journey starts with a kart. But where can it end? For kids across the UK, karting is more than a weekend hobby — it’s the beginning of something bigger.

Whether it’s Larkhall, or Whilton Mills, these tracks are launchpads for dreams that go beyond podiums and medals.

One day, they might want to be flying real planes. Next day, it might be representing the UK in esports sim championships. Or maybe standing on the F1 grid or Theo's favourite, racing at Le Man 24 hours.

"As a parent Karting teaches Theo's more than throttle control — it teaches mindset, reaction, commitment, and resilience and that transfers every aspect of life."

Theo's raced virtually in Spa-Francorchamps and mentally flown planes in Sky Team board game. We've studied telemetry, visualised corners at Buckmore Park together, and imagined walking into Silverstone with me holding Theo's helmet in my hand while he is on the podium. It's wild, but it's real — because that’s how dreams work.

"If you're looking for where greatness begins — it starts with kids in karts, whispering dreams into their helmets between laps."

And if you're wondering where those dreams go, well... that’s the part I can’t wait to find out.
