He Did It: Theo Passes His ARKS Karting Licence

Theo has officially passed his Association of Racing Karts Schools (ARKS) test from Motorsport UK karting license. It’s a huge milestone in his journey — and the beginning of something serious.


We still can’t quite believe it — Theo has passed his ARKS test, meaning he now holds his Motorsport UK  karting license. He’s now officially allowed to race in Wera Tools British Kart Championship & Scottish Kart Racing championships — the same ladder climbed by legends like Hamilton, & Norris


"This wasn’t just a test day. It was his first real driving test. And for us as parents? It was emotional, nerve-wracking, and unforgettable."


Theo's been working toward studying, practising, asking questions, visualising every flag, every start, every line. Thistle Rose Racing have been amazing in helping him prepare, and we’re so grateful to Larkhall for allowing him to take the test at his home track — a place that’s shaped so much of his early racing journey.



We arrived early, his Tony Kart chassis, powered by his reliable Rotax engine, was ready to go. We weren’t. But Theo was. He lined up. He listened. And he passed.


Now, with his Motorsport UK  license in hand, he’s stepping into a new level of racing. And we’re stepping into a new chapter as a racing family — proud & excited
